Calling Young Minority Filmmakers: Courtney LeMarco's TLG Motion Pictures Opens Submissions for the Big Pitch

Seattle Creatives Get an Opportunity to Bring Their Cinematic Visions to Life

TLG Motion Pictures, founded by Seattle-based film and television producer Courtney LeMarco, announces it is accepting submissions now through June 22, 2020, for The Big Pitch, a competition providing opportunity for young adult minorities (aged 18-25) in Seattle with a strong interest in film, production, and content creation. Ten finalists will be selected to pitch their television or film concept to top Hollywood executive producers. One winning pitch will be chosen for development with TLG Motion Pictures.

“Having grown up as a black man in a low-income community, I was presented with very few opportunities for success as a young person,” says LeMarco. “The Big Pitch was created to empower young minorities with a platform to not only pitch their film or television ideas to working Hollywood executives, but also the resources to see that project funded and brought to life.”

The Big Pitch winner will be awarded a $20,000 Service Grant toward the development of their project and will have access to an experienced production crew, professional camera equipment, and other resources to help them bring their project to life. To be considered, entrants must develop a one-sheet pitch detailing their film or television concept, which can be submitted via email at bigpitch@tlgmotionpictures.com. A script, reference images, and comparable movie or television examples are also encouraged, though not required.

The Big Pitch is in alignment with The Washington State Entertainment Industry PAC (WSEIPAC), a political action committee dedicated to providing resources, jobs and economic growth in the media, entertainment and production industries throughout the State of Washington.
