Share the Wellness: Human Touch® Kicks Off Its 40th Anniversary With New Chairs for Charity Program

L.A. County Fire Department and YMCA Are the First to Benefit from Human Touch's Gifted Massage Chairs.

Human Touch®, the U.S. market leader in high-performance massage chair innovations and wellness solutions, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the launch of its new Chairs for Charity program to help those in need. This new initiative serves as a platform through which Human Touch plans to extend its existing philanthropic efforts, which have also included assisting military and first responder families in need, contributions to children in need of school supplies and donations to local food pantries.

Now officially accepting nominations, the Chairs for Charity program is a commitment to the donation of an as-needed number of Human Touch’s state-of-the-art massage chairs and Perfect Chair® recliners. This project places an emphasis on those who work to serve their own communities as first responders, in family enrichment and childcare services, and in public safety sectors. In 2019, Human Touch has already donated chairs to the Lakewood Family YMCA and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“This job takes a huge toll on the body,” said David Chambers, engineer for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “We work for 24-hours straight and have to be ready and alert for emergency calls at any point during those long shifts. Having our Novo XT2 massage chair helps our firefighters to recover and regroup so that we can be physically prepared to handle even the most demanding of situations that come our way.”

“There are many people in our community who rely on our Lakewood Family YMCA to have access to and resources that they otherwise would not. The donation that Human Touch has been able to make to our YMCA is what helps us to continually grow and help others,” says Emilio Sosa, senior executive director at Lakewood Family YMCA. “We’re glad to have partnered with their Chairs for Charity program and that people who suffer from an illness or ailment will be able to have the opportunity to receive a chair that will help them recover.”

Since 1979, Human Touch has launched numerous multi-patented, proprietary systems that have masterfully replicated the touch and techniques of top massage professionals. Taking a unique approach to design, the company leverages talented engineers, medical practitioners and world-class athletes to carefully craft groundbreaking products that alleviate pain and decrease pain on a daily basis. In fact, Human Touch Robotic Massage Chairs and Perfect Chairs are the only chairs recognized by the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) as a valid supplement to back-care therapies. In its 40th year, Human Touch is introducing several more firsts to the industry, from new technologies and therapeutic advancements to its generous Chairs for Charity program.

“Human Touch has long-encouraged a company culture of giving back to the community,” said David Wood, CEO of Human Touch. “We believe that wellness should be available to the people who need it the most, especially those who work hard themselves to improve the lives of others. Launching this Chairs for Charity program in our 40th year of business will serve as a way for us to show our gratitude and to do what we can to improve the lives of those who give so much.”
