The Roxbury Institute's Dr. Jaime Schwartz is the Principal Investigator in a New Breast Implant Study Now Recruiting Patients
Los Angeles, CA, May 17, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The Roxbury Institute in Beverly Hills, California, is currently recruiting patients for a clinical study investigating the long-term performance of Mentor® MemoryShape™ and MemoryGel™ breast implants. Eligible patients include women aged 18 and older who are interested in either primary or revision breast augmentation or breast reconstruction surgery. Known for its prestigious staff of highly specialized medical doctors, The Roxbury Institute is now the only clinical trial site for breast implants in California.
“Glow Study” participants will be under the care of The Roxbury Institute’s Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Jaime Schwartz, MD, who has been selected as principal investigator. Dr. Schwartz is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in complex breast and body surgery. Additionally, he is a national educator/committee member with American Society of Plastic Surgeons, where he is often charged with setting policy and standards in patient care.
"This new breast implant study is a wonderful opportunity for women seeking breast implant surgery, whether for reconstructive or cosmetic reasons. Not only will study participants be under my personal care, but they will also have the benefit of being treated at one of the country's most prestigious and sought-after surgery and research facilities."

“This new breast implant study is a wonderful opportunity for women seeking breast implant surgery, whether for reconstructive or cosmetic reasons,” said Dr. Schwartz. “Not only will study participants be under my personal care, but they will also have the benefit of being treated at one of the country’s most prestigious and sought-after surgery and research facilities.”
Participants will get paid a stipend as part of participation in the clinical trial, as well as a free enhanced warranty from Mentor. The breast implant study will collect data from more than 2,000 women over a 10-year period. The goal is to gain additional post-approval clinical data surrounding the long-term performance of Mentor’s implants, which contain a proprietary formulation of medical-grade silicone gel. The study will gather data from four cohorts of women, which include primary augmentation, primary reconstruction, revision-augmentation, and revision-reconstruction patients.
“While The Roxbury Institute may be known largely as a top cosmetic and plastic surgery center in Beverly Hills, it is also an important research and educational site for many of the nation’s most specialized surgeons,” said Dr. David Amron, founder of The Roxbury Institute. “In addition to being California’s only clinical trial site for breast implants, it is also home to a first-of-its-kind international surgical fellowship program focusing lipedema treatment and care.”
